MARY HORTON SONDAG, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and serves clients at their homes in southern Orange County. Mary has been a physical therapist in California since 1982, serving senior populations in a variety of settings including acute care hospitals, skilled rehab facilities, skilled home health and outpatient clinics.

Mary specializes in movement disorders associated with Parkinson's Disease. She is an LSVT-BIG certified and PWR! Moves Certified therapist.

Experienced in: cardiopulmonary rehab, post-stroke rehab, balance and fall prevention, pelvic floor rehab for women and post-joint replacement therapy.

Mary's passion is spending one-on-one time with her clients, which allows her to focus on their specific needs, fears and goals surrounding their function in their daily lives. Can I walk my dog safely? Can I get to the mailbox safely? Do I have proper strength and flexibility to continue to drive safely? These questions and more can all be answered and steps taken to ensure your continued safety and wellness in your own residence.

She emphasizes self-empowerment. Educating her clients during treatments sessions is a critical part of her approach.

Mary practices evidence based medicine, regularly attends continuing education seminars and utilizes technology to keep her knowledge up to date.

Mary is a Chicago native and has lived in California for 35 years with her husband, Alan. Her three grown sons continue to bring her great joy in her life. She also holds a BA in Philosophy from Marquette University and is an avid Marquette Golden Eagles basketball fan!
